In 1997, a television of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderlla was made that starred Brandy as Cinderella, Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother, and Bernadette Peters as the Stepmother. It is known for it’s cast of varying ethnicities, including a Filipino-American prince. This filmed production won an Excellence in Production Design award as well as an Emmy for Outstanding Art Direction for a Variety or Music Program.
